Kanye West's 'Famous' Demo Leaked, Reveals Different Lyrics on Taylor Swift and Amber Rose

"I feel like Taylor Swift still owe me sex. I made that bitch famous," raps the singer in a leaked version of the song

It’s the song that kicked off a year of drama between Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West and Taylor Swift, and now the original version of “Famous” has hit the Internet.

On Thursday, an earlier recording of West’s song surfaced online, and the controversial lyrics involving the “Shake It Off” singer and his ex Amber Rose contrast from what the rapper changed them to in the final version of the track.

“I feel like Taylor Swift still owe me sex / I made that bitch famous,” West is heard rapping on the demo. He then repeats part of the verse but subs in Rose’s name. “I feel like Amber Rose still owe me sex / Why? I made that bitch famous / Not really, but somewhat famous,” he raps.

After the song was released in February (“For all my Southside n—– who know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that bitch famous,” read the lyrics in the final version), Swift’s rep told PEOPLE, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account” and that the singer “declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message” and “was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.'”

arlier this summer, Kardashian West leaked edited snippets on Snapchat of a phone call between her husband and Swift during which the singer appears to approve of West’s “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” lyric. At the time, a West source said Swift “was playing the victim.”

However, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE exclusively the demo is revealing. “Now you know why Kim only posted an edited three minutes of video footage to Snapchat and not the hour-long conversation that they had,” says the source.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift's feud over his track Famous looks to be taken to a new level after a demo version of the track was leaked.

Swift defended herself on Instagram after Kardashian West leaked the audio, saying she was never told West would call her “that bitch” in his song. “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened … Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she wrote.

Rose also appeared to slam West’s lyrics after the song was released, telling The Daily Beast, “everything I’ve done … is my own doing, and I’ve worked my f—ing ass off for everything I have.”
